This is Freddie Bear. He was Jon and Tracy's friend. He's at Rainbow's Bridge. We'll all have the honor of meeting him some day. His mama called him "Most Excellent Akita". |
This funny looking Akita is Brandy. > She was Freddie's best friend. Her new best friend will be either Gimli or Pippin :) |

I had to have a little talk with Gimli today too. Seems these boys think they're tough guys. They're all starting to bark and growl. Samwise barked at a toy today. "Ark, ark" :) Sassy. |

It's really windy up here today but the sunshine is good for um. We only stayed out about a half hour. I'll take um out longer each day. |

Eowyn used to be the complainer. Arwen has taken over the role :) |
Just starting to see little personalities traits. |
Gimli is confident and lazy like his daddy. He's still the darkest and I don't see any shading yet. |
Sam I am is big and smart but a bit of a sissy boy. |
Pippin just kinda' blends in. Easy go lucky, at this point. I think he's getting some of his daddy's shading but he still could get some brindling too. |
Arwen is the most intent on escaping. My Kadena's nickname, when she was a puppy, was "Houdini". She grew outta' being an escape artist. No need to panic on that one :) Arwen will look just like her mama only maybe lighter. |

Chad, Corina, Tre' and BooBoo chose Strider to be their new friend. His name will be Akido, "KeeDoe" for short. His really long name means "Our Child's Guardian". Love that! |
Course we know that Samwise is going home with the other Chad, and Kathy. :) They're still working on the name thing :) How do you say, "In your lap?" in Japanese? hehehe |
That's all we know for sure at this point. I've also decided you can have your babies any time after May 21st. Of course they're welcome to stay longer. :) |
I would avoid travel on Memorial weekend. |

They're all drinking plain ol' water and eating crunchy Purina Puppy Chow. I'll de-worm um' again tomorrow and give um' their first shot on the 21st. All that info will be included in your registration stuff - ready to take to baby's new vet. Lemme' know who wants to come get baby when and we'll try to coordinate the Flatlanders. :) Happy trails... :) |

They all got worm meds today and I weighed the little tanks. |
Strider/Akido is biggest this week. 7 lbs. 1 oz. |
Sam weighs 6 lbs. 10 ozs. |
Then, Pip and Gim at 6 lbs. 8 ozs. |
Eowyn weighs 5 lbs. 12 ozs. |
Arwen is right behind at 5 lbs. 10 ozs. |
Too damp and cold to play outside today. Maybe tomorrow. :) |

Sorry but the pix of Pippin and Eowyn didn't turn out so hot today. Arwen either I see. I took FORTY SIX :) I'll concentrate on those three next time. |

Babies are going to stay outside from now on. They'll be plenty safe and warm. I may chicken out and bring um back in tonight. We'll see. I'll leave the barn light on for a few nights :) |

Chad and Corina, it just occurred to me that Keedoe's registration name may be too long for the spaces provided on the registration. You may have to leave Akido off. |
Jon and Tracy, have you come up with a name for your new friend yet? Some people like to meet the babies before they name um. |
Jim and Karen's new baby will be named either Kokomo, Komo for short, orrrrr Kuro-Kuma which means black bear, orrrrrr Ookii-Kuma which means big bear. I like um all ! |
Chad and Kathy are still workin' on a name for my Sam I Am :) |
Michelle and her gang are waiting to hear when the other Flatlanders are comin' for pups. I think she's willin' to pitch in for gas. |

Chad, Corina and Tre' came to visit Strider/ Keedoe this weekend. |
< Meet Tre' :) Pretty sure his parents had the most fun playin' with the puppies. Tre' fed the horse cookies and dandelions and grass and grain and celery. He gave Mac, Sasha and Kadena about 800 cookies too :) That picture is a self portrait. He somehow managed to get my camera to go up to 47 pictures. Thank God his didn't turn out any better than mine usually do :) |
